As shown below, we have received a report from PEATIX on the results of an investigation by a third-party investigative organization regarding unauthorized access events.

・It was not confirmed that information such as payment-related information, event participation history, data obtained from the questionnaire form function for participants, address, phone number, etc. was extracted.
・No new unauthorized access has been confirmed since the discovery on October 17th.

■Overview
In the future, as many educational facilities, etc., will need to be replaced due to aging, in order to realize efficient, effective, and good public services, we will educate and educate various PPP/PFI methods that utilize private funds and originality and ingenuity. It is necessary to use it for the maintenance and operation of facilities, etc., and to promote its spread and development.
In March 2020, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) compiled “Case Studies of Diverse PPP/PFI Projects at Educational Facilities” as effective examples of promoting the introduction of PPP/PFI methods.
This time, we will hold two seminars (basic edition and applied edition) to disseminate and enlighten this collection of case studies. In the first session, we plan to have representatives from local governments introduce the cases covered in the case study collection, explain PPP/PFI, and explain measures by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

The 8th OPPS Forum was held

The 8th meeting of the OPPS Forum was held on November 17th for the purpose of exchange and information sharing among members. Continuing from the last time, it was held online, but a total of 24 people from 11 regular members and 2 observers from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism participated.

Mr. Keisuke Nakamura, Director of IDB=Inter-American Development Bank Asia Office, introduced IDB’s overseas PPP initiatives. In addition, we introduced the expression of interest in PPP projects, the progress status, and the re-examination of the projects introduced at the first forum last year.

On January 17 (Tuesday), Peatix informed us that there had been unauthorized access to the event participation application site operated by Peatix.

Due to a series of unauthorized accesses that took place from October 16th to October 17th, 2020, up to 6.77 million pieces of customer information, including customer personal information (names, email addresses, encrypted passwords, etc.) The fact that was withdrawn was revealed on November 12th. In addition, it has not been confirmed that payment-related information such as credit card information and financial institution account information, event participation history, data obtained from the questionnaire form function for participants, addresses, telephone numbers, etc. were withdrawn. yeah.

On November 18th (Wednesday), our corporation sent an inquiry to Peatix about whether or not the information on the applicants for the above event was leaked, and we are waiting for a reply.
