PPP Conference held as a side event of TICAD7 with the Ministry of Roads and Highway, Republic of Ghana
PPP Conference was held on 27th August 2019 with the Ministry of Roads and Highways, Republic of Ghana, as a side event of TICAD7 at Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu.
Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Attah, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Republic of Ghana, delivered the opening speech of the Conference.
Mr. Kimikazu Uemura, Vice President of OPPS, gave a presentation on “Aichi Model – First Toll Road Concession in Japan”. The attendees of the Conference as OPPS members were: Fujita Corporation, Index Consulting, Inc., Kumagai Gumi Co., Ltd., and Maeda Corporation.
Minister, Mr. Kwasi Amoako-Attah said:
“Ghana has a very stable economic and social environment and is the safest country in Africa. Ghana will need Japan’s cooperation to promote infrastructure development.”
After the Conference, the Ministry of Roads and Highways, Republic of Ghana and Index Consulting signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in “development of the public Private Partnership (PPP) Model” in the selected road sectors in Ghana. The MoU signing took place in the presence of Mr. Keiichi Ishii, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, during the bilateral meeting between governments of Japan and Ghana.
